The Pioneers hosted Providence Christian at St. Helena High School for another CalPac game. The Pioneers were coming off of a 6-1 win against St. Katherine and were hoping for another big win. Kickoff was at 7:00 PM PDT under the lights.
The Pioneers would come out very strong with a goal from Issay Bravo in the 1st minute, assisted by Daniel Castro. About 10 minutes later Andres Becerra would get his 1st goal of the season with a long-range volley from about 30 yards out, making the score 2-0. Daniel Castro would get on the scoresheet with an assist from Issay Bravo in the 21st minute, making it 3-0. The Pioneers would keep pushing as Jordan Baumback would slot away a penalty kick in the 30th minute to end the 1st half 4-0.
In the 2nd half, William Biondini would get himself on the score sheet with a goal in the 50th minute, which was assisted by Kevin Gill. Issay Bravo would close out the game with a goal in the 75th minute. The Pioneer defense held Providence Christian to 0 shots on target for the final score to be 6-0.
The Pioneers will make a trip to Southern California to play Antelope Valley on October 20th, then will play La Sierra on October 22nd. Kickoff against Antelope Valley will be at 3:00 PM PDT.
