Women's Soccer Goes to the Playoffs!!
On Sunday, October 30, the Lady Pioneers Soccer team played their final regular season match against the Simpson Redhawks in Redding, CA. The team pulled off a 1-0 win sending them to the first playoff appearance in program history. Their tie game verse UC Merced the Thursday prior elevated them up over La Sierra University giving them the 5th seed in the CalPac rankings going into the postseason.
The Lady Pioneers will travel to Merced, CA to take on the UC Merced Bobcats in the opening round of the California Pacific Conference Championship tournament on November 5 at 7:30 PM. A win in Merced will send them to Southern California the following weekend.
"We are so proud of our ladies and our coaching staff for their achievements this year. Landing in the playoffs in their second full season as a team is nothing short of remarkable and that is a testament to Coaches Shelton, Granados, and Ross but also the tenacity and skill of our players. We are excited to see how they do this weekend" said Athletic Director J.R. Rogers.
